Instructions for sole bathing:
It is suggested that you have a shower/bath first for cleansing and do not use soap in your salt bath. For a relaxing bath you could use 500g of salt, but for medicinal use, 1kg is recommended.
The salts should be put in the bath and dissolved with hot water, then top up with hot or cold to just above body temperature, (normal body temperature is 37C or 98.6F).
Complete immersion for 20 – 30 mins is ideal, by which time the temperature will have dropped to just below body temperature, thus having given you the maximum time at the range around body temp. Do not rinse off, but wrap yourself in a large warm towel, lie down and relax until dry. Two baths per week should bring noticeable results to skin and joint ailments. Show less...
